This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you visit our website at https://www.mixedrealms.com or play our video games, including Sairento VR, Sairento VR Untethered, Hellsweeper VR, Gordian Quest, and 13Z: The Zodiac Trials ("13Z").

It also explains the choices and rights available to you regarding your personal information.

The information we collect depends on the game you play, the platform you use, and the features you choose to access.

Sairento VR, Sairento VR Untethered, Hellsweeper VR, and Gordian Quest

These games primarily process information required for platform authentication, multiplayer functionality, and related features.

Platform usernames and player identifiers.
Information required to authenticate your platform account.
Player identifiers used for multiplayer sessions and friends lists.
Information needed to verify or restore purchases.

Where applicable, game progress is stored locally on your device or backed up through platform services such as Steam Cloud.

We do not intentionally collect additional personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary for these functions.

13Z: The Zodiac Trials

13Z includes online multiplayer, leaderboards, gameplay analytics, crash reporting, player feedback, and optional community features.

Depending on the features you use, we may collect or process:

Account information: Steam ID, Steam display name, and associated player identifiers.
Game information: Game version, language, country, and time zone settings.
Gameplay information: Run results, characters played, bosses encountered, damage, kills, completion times, gameplay choices, and other gameplay events.
Technical information: Device specifications, operating system, graphics hardware, performance information, crash logs, and IP addresses.
Player-generated content: Screenshots voluntarily submitted for sharing, feedback messages, and other information you choose to provide.
Multiplayer information: Session information, player identifiers, character information, and gameplay activity needed to operate online co-op.
Optional integration information: Information required when you connect supported services such as Discord, Twitch, or Crowd Control.

We collect and process this information only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information collected through our games to:

Authenticate players and provide access to online features.
Operate multiplayer sessions, matchmaking, and associated platform services.
Save, synchronise, and restore game progress where supported.
Maintain leaderboards and other shared gameplay features.
Understand gameplay patterns and improve game balance and design.

Maintain the security, stability, and integrity of our games.

3. Third-Party Services Used by 13Z

To provide its features, 13Z uses services operated by third-party providers.

The following table explains the principal services, the information they receive, and why they are used.

brainCloud (bitHeads)

Information processed: Steam ID, Steam name, game version, language, country, time zone, gameplay results, leaderboard information, submitted screenshots, feedback, and demo save data

Purpose: Account authentication, online features, leaderboards, community features, player feedback, and demo progress transfer

Photon (Exit Games)

Information processed: Multiplayer session information and gameplay data

Purpose: Operating online co-op sessions

Steam (Valve)

Information processed: Authentication information, achievements, statistics, rich presence, lobby information, and cloud save data

Purpose: Steam platform integration and associated features

GameAnalytics

Information processed: Random analytics identifier, device and operating system information, gameplay events, performance information, and survey responses

Purpose: Understanding player behaviour, evaluating game design, and improving gameplay

Sentry (Functional Software)

Information processed: Crash reports, technical diagnostics, device specifications, recent log information, random save identifiers, and brainCloud profile identifiers

Purpose: Detecting and resolving crashes and technical problems

Medal.tv

Information processed: Steam ID for partner quest verification; IP address when Medal.tv clips are played

Purpose: Promotional quest functionality and video playback

ClickUp

Information processed: Player feedback, relevant gameplay details, and brainCloud profile identifiers

Purpose: Managing and responding to player feedback

Immutable

Information processed: Steam ID and Immutable player ID when accounts are linked

Purpose: Verifying account linking and granting associated rewards

Discord, Twitch, and Crowd Control

Information processed: Information required by the relevant integration when enabled by the player

Purpose: Optional community interaction, Twitch chat integration, and Crowd Control functionality

Services that communicate directly with your device may also receive your IP address and information required to establish a connection.

For Medal.tv partner quest verification, our server may transmit your Steam ID even if you have not separately connected a Medal.tv account.

These third-party services may process information under their own applicable privacy policies and data protection arrangements.

On PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2, 13Z's online functionality is limited to online co-op and the applicable platform services, as described for those versions of the game.

4. Multiplayer and Information Visible to Other Players

Certain information is shared with other players as part of 13Z's gameplay and community features.

Online Co-op

During multiplayer sessions, other participants may receive or see:

Your Steam display name and player identifier.
Your selected character and gameplay activity.
Information necessary to maintain the multiplayer session.
Voice and text communications exchanged during the session.

Mixed Realms does not intentionally record or permanently store multiplayer voice or text chat.

Multiplayer session information required for real-time communication is generally temporary. Other information, such as leaderboard results and shared content, may be retained separately as described in this policy.

Leaderboards

Your Steam display name and gameplay results may appear on shared leaderboards.

Other players' games may also receive your Steam ID as part of leaderboard functionality.

Fallen-Challenger Markers

In the full game, your Steam display name and the location where your character was defeated may be displayed to other players who encounter the corresponding location.

These markers are temporary and are removed after a limited number of appearances or when replaced by other markers.

Shared Screenshots

If you voluntarily submit a screenshot to the village photo board, it may be reviewed by the Mixed Realms team before publication.

Approved screenshots may be displayed to other players and credited using your

Steam display name.

Published screenshots may be accessible through publicly available web addresses.

Twitch Integration

If you connect Twitch, viewer usernames and chat messages may appear within your game or the games of other players participating in your session.

These features are optional.

Please avoid including sensitive personal information in screenshots, feedback, or communications that may be visible to others.

5. Game Saves and Demo Progress

13Z stores game progress locally on your device and, where supported, through Steam Cloud.

Game settings and key bindings are stored locally.

Transferring Demo Progress

For the Steam demo, 13Z stores a copy of your demo save with brainCloud.

This may include:

Game progress and unlocked content.
Unlocked cosmetics.
Gameplay statistics.
Your entered player name.
Your associated Steam ID.

This information is used to offer players the ability to transfer eligible demo progress into the full version of 13Z using the same Steam account.

Stored demo save copies are scheduled for automatic deletion by January 14, 2028.

6. Gameplay Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use gameplay analytics and diagnostic tools to understand how our games perform and identify opportunities for improvement.

Gameplay Analytics

13Z uses GameAnalytics to collect gameplay and technical information.

Analytics events are associated with a randomly generated analytics identifier rather than your Steam ID.

This information helps us understand matters such as gameplay progression, player choices, technical performance, and game balance.

Gameplay analytics is currently enabled by default, and an in-game option to disable it is not currently available.

You may contact us if you have questions or wish to object to the processing of analytics information. We will consider such requests in accordance with applicable law.

Crash Reporting

13Z uses Sentry to identify crashes and investigate technical issues.

Crash reports may contain technical information, diagnostic logs, device specifications, and identifiers associated with the affected game session.

Crash reporting is enabled by default.

You may disable it through:

Options > Gameplay > Crash Reporting

Disabling crash reporting does not prevent the game from operating, although it may limit our ability to investigate technical problems you experience.

7. Your Choices and Controls

13Z provides the following privacy-related choices:

Crash reporting: Can be disabled through the game's Gameplay options.
Discord, Twitch, and Crowd Control: Optional integrations that remain inactive unless connected through Options > Plugins. Connected services can be unlinked there.
Voice chat: Uses push-to-talk by default and can be adjusted or muted through the audio options.
Shared screenshots: Submission is voluntary.
Player feedback: Submission is voluntary.

Some information is necessary to operate online features. Disabling or disconnecting certain services may therefore affect the availability of the associated features.

8. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or similar requirements apply, our processing of personal information may rely on the following legal bases, depending on the activity:

Performance of a contract: Processing necessary to provide requested game functionality, including authentication, multiplayer features, and supported cloud services.

Legitimate interests: Processing reasonably necessary to maintain and improve our games, diagnose errors, evaluate gameplay, provide support, and protect the integrity of our services, where those interests are not overridden by applicable privacy rights.

Consent: Processing based on your permission where consent is required, including certain optional features or activities.

Legal obligations: Processing necessary to comply with applicable laws or lawful requests.

Where consent is the applicable legal basis, you may withdraw that consent in accordance with applicable law.

Separate legal requirements may apply to certain analytics technologies or access to information stored on a player's device.

9. How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by applicable law.

Retention depends on the type of information and the feature involved.

For 13Z:

Demo save copies: Scheduled for deletion by January 14, 2028.
Unapproved shared screenshots: Removed after 30 days.
Approved shared screenshots: Retained while they remain part of the community feature, unless removed earlier.
Fallen-challenger markers: Removed after five appearances or earlier when replaced.
Leaderboard information: May be retained while the relevant leaderboard or associated game service remains in operation.
Player feedback: May be retained for support, development, quality assurance, and related business purposes while the information remains necessary.
Analytics and crash information: Retained according to the applicable service arrangements and operational requirements.

Third-party providers may apply their own retention periods and deletion procedures.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we take steps to delete, anonymise, or otherwise cease retaining it in accordance with applicable law.

10. Accessing, Correcting, and Deleting Your Information

You may contact Mixed Realms to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by us.

For 13Z, this may include:

Leaderboard information.
Shared screenshots.
Fallen-challenger markers.
Submitted feedback.
Stored demo save copies.
Other identifiable information associated with your game account.

Certain diagnostic or analytics records use randomly generated identifiers that cannot readily be associated with a Steam account. Consequently, we may be unable to identify individual records for deletion without sufficient information to locate them.

Local Saves and Steam Cloud

Uninstalling a game may remove local game data, depending on your device and platform.

For the Windows versions of 13Z, local save data may be found within:

The relevant game folders include Zodiac13th and Zodiac13th_Demo.

Deleting local files does not necessarily remove copies stored through Steam Cloud.

Steam Cloud data is managed separately through Steam's platform functionality and applicable procedures.
